  • Ownership for Ontario S&OP process
  • Manage planning and inventory control processes. Collaborate with Commercial stakeholders on forecasting
  • Optimize Ontario inventory levels to meet customer service, business continuity and cost objectives throughout the global distribution network linking suppliers, manufacturing plants, warehouses, distributors and customers
  • This position coordinates global supply chain product availability, issues and performance, working with all appropriate functional areas of the company
  • Leads a team of planners, Material Management, Transportation, Warehouse , Customer Service and the MRP process
  • Set local policy for conduct of inventory and planning activities, objectives, goals and with ultimate alignment of organization around meeting customer objectives
  • Lead communication between SCM and other functions for supply and demand issue resolution
  • Develop inventory management policy and translate that into working models to drive solutions
  • Manage all aspects of product status in order to meet customer order requirements. Provide team leadership and guidance to accurately track each product through the supply chain process at Ontario.
  • Develop process maps, cycle times and assist in cycle time optimization to increase inventory velocity
  • Ownership of establishing and delivering Ontario inventory velocity targets (DOS, turns, inventory $'s)
  • Manage global scrap, SLOB, inventory accuracy and other inventory KPIs at the site.
  • Develop and report on complementary metrics including forecast accuracy, S&OP cycle adherence etc.
  • Customer delivery performance, LIFR, perfect order fulfillment - on-time and complete shipments to customers
  • Develop and maintain department budget.
  • Assist in Capital Equipment planning and purchasing.
  • Communicate with team members, supervisor and members of other departments, as appropriate, to assure prompt resolution of problems.
  • Assist in staff development and mentorship in areas such as cGMP training, technical skills, and safety Identify the technical, procedural and equipment issues that hinder production and compliance. Inform support departments and manager as needed.
  • Identify deviations and follow through on corrective and preventative actions (variances).
  • Review and make recommendations for change to cGMP documentation such as SOPs.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.

  • 10+ years' experience in supply chain, manufacturing and distribution function
  • Experience with Customer interaction and managing Customer Service function.
  • Experience managing teams with 5+ years supervisory roles
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university. Masters preferred
  • Demonstrated competency with cross-functional engagement and collaboration
  • Working knowledge of and experience implementing material planning principles
  • Experience building MRP processes and related systems
  • Proficient computer skills - particularly Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of Lean/Six Sigma Principles
  • APICS certification
  • Bilingual preferred
